A fascinating course about ways of life, hygiene, beliefs…
from different periods: the Biedermeier Period, the
Romantic Period, the Crinolines, The Turn, The Reform
and the first part of the 20th century.

till 26/05: Exhibition “Pointure 40” |
Artists from Paris show their works
of art, each one related to shoes.
There will be works of art at the Shoe Museum and in
the centre of Izegem.

Educational program for schools:
A visit to the exhibition in the museum.
Workshop: the students philosophize about works of
art in a pleasant way. Some questions are: what does
the artist want to give the spectator with his object
(painting, construction, photo…)? What feeling
does the object arouse? Why would this be art?
Reservation is necessary; cost: 2 euro p.p.
Target group: primary education (stenciling shoes)
and the first and second year of secondary education.

In association with the Cycling Museum of Roeselare
“Famous names of the past and the present”
An exhibition focussed on the evolution of cycle shoes.
From 1950 up to this very day.
Opening: Sunday, 6 May at 10.00. There will first be
a brief speech at the Cycling Museum in Roeselare. Then
we will take our bike and head to the Brush Museum ,
where the temporary exhibition takes place.
There is a story night at the Brush Museum on June 30.

Record attempt in association with Unizo, Colgate Belgium,
Vlaams Verbond van Tandartsen, Boucherie: collecting
as much (used) toothbrushes as possible. Everyone who
gives their old toothbrush will receive a new (Colgate)
toothbrush.
